The first of the five (which flows over onto another line) is "mother or father or child"
THen "father or mother or wife or child"
THen "mother or child"
Then "mother or father"
Then "pather or mother or wife"

As you can see, the most evidence is for the "mother or father or child" though actually the most manuscripts have "father or mother or wife or child" because "Byz" represents a few thousand later copies (mostly from AD 900 and later) which all tend to be virtually identical.

Can I ask a random question? This is nothing to do with the original text, so feel free to ignore it completely!

My flatmate and I were wondering why the ESV omits the word "wife" in Mark 10:29-30, and in fact most modern translations do to. However the KJV doesn't. We checked the Greek version with strong numbers, and then a Greek version (I believe it was LXX as provided in the crosswire modules) and the word "wife" does in fact seem to be there. Did the ESV get it wrong/deliberately removed the word or do you reckon there are other manuscripts that would not have those in.

The vese in the ESV is as follows:

Jesus said, "Truly, I say to you,( A) there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and( B) for the gospel, 30who will not receive a hundredfold( C) now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands,( D) with persecutions, and in( E) the age to come eternal life.

and in the KJV:

29And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
