Why do we need GEARS?

Chris, this is exactly what I hoped for.
We will probably send out SD or Micro-SD instead of CD/DVD because it
is easier to package and higher volume.
I expect an increasing number of mobiles will have Java 1.5.
We'll need to think about screen size and other restrictions - David,
are you onto this?I don't think there is any problem if GEARS requires some kind of
initialisation.
This would give us an excuse to keep tabs on the number of installers.What about the thread problem? - Can GEARS and JSword work together?
