The general consensus is that no.6 (the footprint) really communicates well.
No. 5 & 6 also look good.
One person commented that he liked no. 4 because it includes an open Bible
(which I hadn't noticed - duh).
The footprint has a triple message in my mind
- the developing world as well as the West (though not in a demeaning way, cos the foot is green, not brown)
- portable and light (emph the fact that it will be usable on many devices, incl smaller ones)
- green and 'natural' - no trees need die to read these books (though lots of mountains might be mined!)
We've been having a look at XulSword at http://code.google.com/p/xulsword/
(I'm not sure if this address is public yet), and one which which struck me was the simple colour scheme,
which holds everything together nicely.
We are doing some thinking at present on the User Interface.
