Re: [Tyndale STEP - Programming] Re: Sword modules

David,

AFAIK, a merged list showing all the modules in all the repositories doesn't exist as a static webpage.

Best advice is to install Bible Desktop, and ensure that you set up the Books manager to have tabs for CrossWire, CrossWire Beta, CrossWire Experimental, The NET Bible, and Xiphos.

You could do something similar with other front-ends, but BD gives the maximum conf details in the right hand pane of each selected "Book" (module).

BD is based on JSword, so it should not add much more footprint, as TyndaleSTEP will also use the same component library.

David

David, thanks for this link, but is there anything else?
For example, this doesn't list the expanded and corrected Strongs Hebrew lexicon which Crosswire uses
(I'm familiar with it because I contributed it)
or the various commentaries and dictionaries - or most of the Bible.
Is there a central list? Or is it on the page and I missed it?

Dear David,

Now that we have met, please feel free to use my more private btinternet email address.
The same invitation also applies to Chris., even though we have yet to meet.

SWORD modules are located in several repositories. See
http://www.crosswire.org/wiki/Module_Repositories

To view the .conf files (without having every module installed), Bible Desktop is very useful.
The JSword module manager gives easy access to each repository, if you set it up correctly.

I don't know if there are any genealogy modules among them, as I mainly focus on Bible modules.
Genealogy is not a module category, per se.
Notwithstanding (a good KJV adverb!), the following website should be of considerable interest.
