Please don't be discouraged by this note, but instead wisely sensitive.
CrossWire texts technically available in our engine are each copyrighted under vastly diverse terms decided by their publishers.
It has taken much lobbying and painful politics to make many of these texts available in our engine obtained from our server. Please do not extract, and certainly don't publicly post any of these texts without first reading the distribution rights included in the .conf file of each module. We've had permissions pulled in the past because texts were redistributed, exported and used elsewhere, and other activity indesciminate of the distribution permissions negotiated for each text.
In short, though all software we develop at CrossWire is open and free, the text themselves are not our own and thus we must abide by their publishers' desires.
